Mobile VoIP is the talk of the town, and has been since VoIP became widely accepted. With new applications available for the market-dominating iPhone, it’s getting closer and closer all the time. More and more VoIP providers are jumping on the bandwagon to provide low-cost calling using cellular headsets. MediaRing Limited, a VoIP service provider based in Singapore with offices worldwide, introduces its new MediaRing MobileVoIP.
MediaRing offers free unlimited mobile calls between users on its global IP network, and requires a SIP-enabled phone and WiFi connection. Users retain their existing mobile number. When calling non-MediaRing users, callers will pay “low rates†to fixed-line or mobile numbers outside of MediaRing.
“These days mobility is a must, and as always users want the best value for their money and with the least amount of hassle. We kept this very important requirement in mind when developing MediaRing MobileVoIP,†said Kaushik Patel, vice president of global marketing at MediaRing.
Patel praises the service’s simplicity, citing that MediaRing does not require special calling functions, special access codes and works with all mobile phone operators.
“With MediaRing MobileVoIP, our users can enjoy rates starting from as low as $0.02 per minute for international calls. In addition, when they travel overseas, the service helps do away with costly roaming charges,†said Patel.
