Every time I search for new headlines in the VoIP world, I see more and more countries adopting the low-cost phone option. While VoIP in many locations still struggles against certain hurdles, its market continues to grow.
Nations in Europe as well as North America, Australia and smaller countries worldwide continue to embrace the technology. From Lithuania to Africa, VoIP shows steady growth and increased consumer enthusiasm. Bulgaria and Jamaica are jumping on the bandwagon too. Regional VoIP providers in locations like Knysna plan to join the surge. Indonesia and Iceland alike will implement IP calling. The Netherlands have long accepted VoIP technology. Callers in the Philippines and India know the benefits of VoIP. China offers 1.1 billion potential VoIP customers. The Middle East features clients such as Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates. Spain, Montenegro, Kuwait and others have access to VoIP service or plan to gain it soon.
Today’s global economy makes VoIP a winner, especially for companies operating past their home country’s borders.
Called one of technology’s “greatest gifts” to the world, VoIP is “cost efficient and effective,” according to TMC.net, due its low fees.
Who knows what future developments the VoIP industry might see, but mobile IP calling is on everyone’s watch list.
