It’s a boon to those who like the idea of unified communications, and it’s great for people and companies who like to save money.
But some are calling VoIP one of “technology’s greatest gifts.”
It’s good to see some enthusiasm in a market riddled with lawsuits, companies going under and slow growth in some areas.
But the growth in other markets and spreading availability of VoIP certainly supports the claims of VoIP’s cheerleaders.
“It is a more cost effective and efficient mode of communication,” said TMCnet, before suggesting that such has been the growth of VoIP that the days of fixed lines were numbered.
It’s a favorite in the world of small and medium businesses.

And those are valid—but a properly run system is said to be just as secure and dependable as traditional phone systems.
